Sessions can be either 1 hour or 30 minutes. Following on from your initial consultation, where we shall sit down and discuss your needs, lifestyle, likes and dislikes, fitness goals and other commitments, we shall put a training plan together that suits YOU. Times to train, what to do and how to fit it in around your other commitments are all considered to ensure you reach your goals.

We have all heard of the saying "variety is the spice of life" and this is exactly the philospohy nhpt employs. Most of your sessions will be based at your home, however some may be in a local park or at your work, after all we want to keep your body guessing what is coming next to make sure it improves.

"But I dont want to exercise surrounded by others or where people can see me which is why I have not joined a gym" ...

Not a problem at all. Remember personal training is about you and should be adapted to make sure you are comfortable and happy so you can work hard.

We offer Personal Trainng packages from as little as £5 per day, or put in other words, the same as 1/2 a bottle of wine, 1 1/2 pints of beer or a package sandwich and bottle of coke.

nhpt also offers a referral scheme. If you are an existing PT client and a friend of yours completes 20, 1hr, 1-2-1 sessions then you receive 50% discount on your next block booking.

"It's thanks to Neil (and perhaps some decent genes ? ) that , at the age of 68 , I don't seem to suffer with many of the aches, pains and general inflexibility of the body as do many of my contemporaries .

He has a winning combination of knowledge , persuasion and gentle chiding -- never bullying -- that works well .

My wife bought me a package of Neil's sessions as a present and now regards it as one of her best ever purchases ."

Female

Aim: Swimmer with hyper mobility and pain in foot, lower leg and knee.

Neil is helping me understand my body, my joints as well as the hyper mobility, what it is and how it affects me. He is also helping me understand how this is a good thing for a me as a swimmer and that it will make me stronger and faster when all my joints, muscles and ligaments start working together properly.  He makes it lots of fun and I really like him.  I have seen Neil since February and have taken over 10 seconds off my 50M Butterfly time since the previous swimming gala in January and have won my first two medals.  I know that I have to do my exercises everyday and that I have a life ahead ofstrengthening exercises to keep me working properly.

If your looking for a PT that actually listens to what you want to do, cares, pushes you, gives you great advice on nutrition as well as fitness and is there for you 24/7 then Neil is the guy for you.

I have had many a PT's over the last few years but none have given me the support and commitment like Neil has. I don't enjoy exercise its not something I want to be doing but I need to get healthier and Neil understood this. He has made everyone of my PT sessions fun and hard! And now I am loving my sessions and I look forward to them and I am doing extra work on the days I don't see Neil which for anyone who knows me you'd know that just was not me!

Neil can give you advice on your Nutrition and the metrics you should be sticking too, he will change them if he thinks he needs to to help you along your journey. He always posts posts of different food ideas on his FB page and is constantly there when I am having bad day to give me the encouragement I need. He doesn't make me feel like I am rubbish or silly even when I am moaning that I can't possibly go on he keeps me going.

His PT sessions are fun, hard work, he designs the sessions around you and what you can and can't do, so even with an ankle injury Neil still has me working up a sweat every time! I cannot recommend Neil enough if you want to see results then Neil is your guy.

About Me

Neil Hussey BSc (Hons)

I practice what I preach... but I also understand how hard it can be to juggle work, family and other commitments to train. I am married and have an 15 year old son who, although can help motivate, can definitely be an easy reason not to train.

I do not believe in coming to train you and shouting at you for an hour... that is just not me. What I want to know is how you are, have you done the training I have set you since the last session? If not I want to help to establish why not, not moan and make you feel bad.

I have trained for many events myself so I know exactly what you are going through and also how difficult it can be sometimes with injuries and lack of motivation.

So if you are looking for a personal trainer who is going to come and shout at you for an hour, make you feel guilty and look down at you from a pedestal for not doing anything between sessions, and then make you not be able to walk from doing hundreds of burpees as punishment, then sorry I am not the PT for you...

However... if you are looking for someone to confide in, a PT who will understand and help you overcome those obstacles that life throws at us and help you reach your goals, who you may well see out with a beer in his hand, then give me a ring.
